HÜRRİYET YILMAZ’DAN ZAMANI AŞAN BİR MÜZİKSEL ANLATIM: “BİR ÖMÜR / LIFETIME”
Müzik yolculuğunda 35 yılı geride bırakan besteci ve müzisyen Hürriyet Yılmaz, yeni çalışması “Bir Ömür / Lifetime” ile dinleyiciyi hem Anadolu’nun kadim seslerine hem de modern dünyanın evrensel tınılarına uzanan duyusal bir yolculuğa davet ediyor. Eser, bağlama ailesinin çok katmanlı dünyasını çağdaş müzik estetiğiyle harmanlayarak sınırları aşan bir anlatım kuruyor.
Dört bölümlü form yapısıyla bir ömrün içsel döngüsünü sembolize eden kompozisyon; curanın ince ve saf sesiyle başlayan “başlangıç”, akustik ve elektrik bağlamaların çağdaş dokusuyla şekillenen “öğrenme”, ritmik dönüşümlerle büyüyen “gelişme” ve divan bağlamanın derin, tok tınısıyla hayatın birikimini yansıtan “deneyim” bölümleriyle ilerliyor. Bu kurgu, dinleyiciyi sadece bir müzik parçası değil, aynı zamanda yaşamın metaforik bir akışıyla buluşturuyor.
Elektronik altyapı, duble kayıt tekniği ve 9/4 zamanlı ölçülerin dönüşümlü kullanımıyla beslenen eser, hem geleneksel ritmik dokuyu hem de çağdaş müziğin özgür dinamizmini taşıyor. Tercih edilen La minör tonalite ise Anadolu’nun melankolisi ile dünya müziğindeki evrensel duygusal derinliği buluşturarak parçaya küresel bir ifade alanı kazandırıyor.
“Bir Ömür / Lifetime”, müziği bir kültürden diğerine açılan bir köprüye dönüştürüyor. Hürriyet Yılmaz, bu eserde yalnızca bir beste değil; duygu, hafıza ve estetiğin iç içe geçtiği, dinleyiciyi ruhun coğrafyasında dolaştıran bir deneyim sunuyor.

A TIMELESS MUSICAL NARRATIVE FROM HÜRRİYET YILMAZ: “BİR ÖMÜR / LIFETIME”
Composer and musician Hürriyet Yılmaz, who has dedicated 35 years to his musical journey, invites listeners to a sensory voyage that extends from the ancient sounds of Anatolia to the universal tones of the modern world with his new work “Bir Ömür / Lifetime.”Blending the multi-layered world of the bağlama family with contemporary musical aesthetics, the piece creates a cross-border, deeply expressive narrative.
Constructed on a four-part form symbolizing the inner cycle of a lifetime, the composition progresses through its sections: “beginning”—introduced by the pure, delicate timbre of the cura; “learning”—shaped by the contemporary textures of acoustic and electric bağlamas; “development”—growing through rhythmic transformations; and “experience”—embodied by the deep, resonant tones of the divan bağlama. With this structure, the piece becomes not merely a composition but a metaphorical stream of life itself.
Enriched by an electronic foundation, double-tracking technique, and the alternating use of 9/4 rhythmic patterns, the work carries both the traditional rhythmic character and the free dynamism of contemporary music. The chosen A minor tonality unites the melancholic essence of Anatolian melodies with the emotional depth found in world music, giving the piece a truly global expressive dimension.
